A business delegation of the emirate of Fujairah (UAE), headed by the general director of the free economic zone of Fujairah, Sharief Al Awadi, arrived in North Kazakhstan region.

The Arab delegation held talks with the management of North Kazakhstan region and entrepreneurs of the region. The leaders of Arab companies are interested in cooperating with the North-Kazakhstanis in the field of tourism and agribusiness. Following the meeting, representatives of the two parties signed 5 memorandums on mutual cooperation.

That was the second meeting of representatives of the two delegations. In January of that year, a business group of NKR, headed by the first head of the region Kumar Aksakalov visited the free economic zone of the Emirate of Fujairah. Then both parties expressed readiness for close cooperation in various spheres. According to the akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov, the arrival of the delegation from the UAE in our region clearly confirms our intentions and aspirations for further mutual cooperation. The UAE remains one of the leading foreign trade and investment partners of Kazakhstan in the Middle East. There are about 200 joint ventures with participation of the emirate capital in the republic. And, this meeting will undoubtedly give impetus to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

«We count on deepening the processing of agricultural products grown, to promote the finished product to foreign markets. Our products in foreign markets are recognized as environmentally friendly and competitive. NKR offers profitable economic cooperation in the sphere of industry, agro-industrial complex, export of products and tourism», — the akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov said.

Delegates from the UAE, in their turn, noted that they were ready to share their experience with colleagues from Kazakhstan in such sectors as tourism, oil refining industry and construction.

«Tourism is developing well here. We are ready to share information in the hotel business. We also created favorable conditions for trading and processing. We give our partners the opportunity to have a one hundred percent share without taxing the business. In North Kazakhstan region, we are interested in projects in the sphere of agro-industrial complex and tourism. In summer, I would like to come to you, because it is the comfortable temperature of the air for living here. In our country, it is very hot now. Also, our representatives are interested in building shopping centers here», — the general director of the Free Economic Zone of Fujairah UAE, the head of the delegation Sharif Al Awadi said.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the two parties signed 5 memorandums on cooperation in various fields. In the afternoon, the delegation from the UAE visited a number of enterprises in the region.
